Ryan Davidson is one of the attorneys behind the 2012 book The Law of Superheroes and the blog Law and the Multiverse, upon which the book is based. He’ll be providing legal analysis of some of the tropes and characters common in comic books and related media.
There will be plenty of time for Q&A, so come prepared to talk about things like the application of arms export control laws to the Iron Man armor, whether or not various superheroes need to file flight plans with the FAA before they take to the sky, and whether a conviction for murder will stand if the victim is resurrected or reanimated. Fans of Iron Man take note – if you see the movie (to be released on May 3rd) you’ll be able to ask Ryan all about it! And, for hard core fans, there may be a few spoilers.
